Ranjay Sharan is President, Nuclear Energy Business of Reliance Industries Limited and he is working for the clean energy initiatives of the company.

Before this, he was a Distinguished Scientist (DS) of Department of Atomic Energy. He was in Board of Directors of NPCIL as Director (Projects) and also held the position of Chairman of ASHVINI, a JVC of NPCIL & NTPC and MAC Chair of ITER Council, France. 

He is having 38 years of work experience in Mega Nuclear Power Plant Procurement, construction & commissioning combined with experience of handling global project management issues.

He has to his credit completion of first of a kind Mega Nuclear Power PHWR Project of 2X540 MWe capacity at Tarapur (TAPP-3&4) and 2X700 MWe Mega Nuclear Power PHWR Project at Kakrapar (KAPP-3&4). He was also involved in erection of critical equipment of first 2X1000 MWe VVER Mega Project in Kudankulam which was implemented  in India with Russian Co-operation.
  
Sharan is a recipient of Indian Nuclear Society Medal award given by Hon’ble Prime Minister of  India for his contribution  in Project management at TAPP-3&4 and IPMA’s National Project Leader Award for 2022-23 given by Dr Saraswat, Niti Aayog for his contribution at KAPP-3&4.
