Shekhar Agarwal is a senior Electrical Engineering leader with over 26 years of experience across power generation, transmission, distribution, renewable energy, energy storage, manufacturing, infrastructure, defense, and data center projects.

He holds an M.Tech. in Power Systems from IIT (BHU), Varanasi, and is an alumnus of NPTI, the Indian School of Business (ISB), and the Emeritus Institute of Management.

His expertise spans EHV substations and transmission systems up to 765 kV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), thermal and renewable power generation, PV solar cell and module manufacturing, solar wafer and ingot manufacturing, defense infrastructure, data centers, and large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects.

Currently serving as Head of Engineering at IndiGrid, Shekhar leads engineering strategy, tendering, and project development for nationally significant TBCB transmission projects and utility-scale BESS initiatives, driving engineering excellence, innovation, and sustainable energy infrastructure development across India.
