Nishant Kumar Sharma is Deputy general Manager – Planning at MBRAPP, ASHVINI (a joint venture of NTPC Limited and NPCIL), where he leads project planning for the Mahi Banswara Rajasthan Atomic Power Project (MBRAPP), a greenfield 700 MW PHWR-based nuclear power project. With over one and half decade of experience across the power sector, he specializes in project planning, strategy, risk management commissioning and stakeholder management.
He previously was also part of the core team at the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project (KKNPP), where he gained deep experience commissioning VVER-based Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) projects. An ISB Scholar, he has worked extensively in Long term Strategy formation and Risk Management for NTPC.
Nishant also serves as Co-Chair of the World Energy Trilemma at the World Energy Council, engaging on energy security, sustainability, affordability, nuclear energy, and the broader energy transition. He is the author of Nuclear Seconds, a science-fiction novel exploring the intersection of nuclear technology, ethics, and decision making.
