Mr. D V Shastry is an astute professional leader with more than 40 years of multifarious experience in Natural Gas Industry, encompassing its Technical and Managerial aspects such as Project Management, O&M of Natural Gas Pipelines and Gas Processing Plants as well as the Learning & Development, HR and HRD functions.

Presently, he is:

- Executive Director, Natural Gas Society – (a Non Profit Organization in Natural Gas Sector)
- Regional Vice President (North), Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD)
- Member, BoS (Board of Studies), All India Management Association (AIMA) and
- Member, GB (General Body), Foundation for Organizational Research & Education (FORE)
- Director, MSME Chamber of Commerce & Industry of India (MSMECCII)

He is the former:

- Director on the Board of GAIL Gas Ltd [A subsidiary of GAIL(India) Ltd]
- Director (Personnel), ECIL (Electronics Corporation of India) – a CPSE under the Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India.
- Executive Director, GAIL (India) Ltd (A Maharatna CPSE under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas).
- Executive Director, various verticals: (HR), (HRD), (Training, R&D and Start up)

He has also been:

His professional qualifications include: M Tech in Energy Systems Engg. from IIT, Bombay, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management [DIM] and Advanced Certification in HRM [ACHRM].
