Ankur Vashishtha is a senior infrastructure and energy professional with over 28 years of experience in the development and execution of large‑scale infrastructure projects across Pumped Storage, Hydropower, Transmission & Substation, and Airports in India and overseas.
He currently serves as Senior Vice President & Head – Pumped Storage Projects at JSW Energy, part of the JSW Group, one of India’s leading steel, energy, and infrastructure conglomerates. In this role, he leads JSW Energy’s Pumped Storage Projects (PSP) business vertical, overseeing a portfolio exceeding 12 GW.
His key expertise includes Business acquisition, managing project development & execution, regulatory and statutory approval , multi-stakeholder management, and advancing large-scale energy storage solutions that support renewable energy integration and grid stability, contributing significantly to India’s energy transition.
Prior to joining JSW Energy, he held senior leadership roles with Sterlite Power (Vedanta Group), GMR Group and NHPC, where he contributed to several marquee infrastructure projects and business transformation initiatives.
A regular speaker at national and international forums, Mr. Vashishtha has authored and presented technical papers on hydropower and energy infrastructure globally, and is widely recognized for his practical insights on project execution, policy frameworks, and large‑scale infrastructure delivery.
